NextGEN NACEB Task Force Asking for Your Help

Greetings!

As you may know, the NextGEN NACEB Task Force is focusing on future direction of the Nebraska Association of County Extension Boards (NACEB) organization.  Note that NACEB membership consists of ALL Extension board members statewide.  NACEB directors include current and past Extension board members.

Task force members are requesting that you take a few moments to complete the following survey focused on a Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) analysis of the NACEB organization—A situational analysis of the organization.  We are interested in your thoughtful input regarding the following:

Strengths: factors that give an edge for the organization over its competitors or others.
Weaknesses: factors that can be harmful if used against the organization by its competitors or others.
Opportunities: favorable situations which can bring a competitive advantage.
Threats: unfavorable situations which can negatively affect the organization.

Perhaps a more straightforward way of framing this analysis is to consider the following two questions as you formulate your response.

What are the strengths and weaknesses of the NACEB organization today as it serves Nebraska Extension and the people of Nebraska?

What are the opportunities and threats for the NACEB organization today and in the future as it serves Nebraska Extension and the people of Nebraska?

Strengths and weaknesses are internal to the organization and can be directly managed by it, while the opportunities and threats are external and the organization can only anticipate and react to them. The aim of SWOT is to identify the strengths and weaknesses that are relevant in meeting opportunities and threats.

Please take a few minutes to share your input by close of business on November 30.  Click on the link below to begin the survey.

Thank you!
